Rainey – client-oriented law firm in the iGaming industry

Rainey Legal Group is a client-oriented law firm, striving to provide tailor-made solutions to even the most complex legal problems.   Managing a broad array of practice areas, from complex civil litigation to large-scale corporate transactions, we consistently strive to provide our clients with the highest quality of service at reasonable rates. Our firm services businesses in numerous industry sectors, including entertainment, gaming, international trade, manufacturing, aviation, financial services, banking, and technology.

Instead of focusing in on narrow areas of law and forcing cookie-cutter solutions upon our clients, we approach client issues individually and take a nuanced approach to resolving those issues, incorporating litigation, lobbying, business law, and a variety of other legal practice areas.   We are focused on results, not petty arguments and billable hours.  We want to solve your legal problems in the most efficient, cost-effective manner

Rainey Legal Group is built upon a philosophy of customer service and close client relations.  We strive to combine the comprehensive expertise and skill of a large law firm with the loyalty and close personal ties that can only be found in a small practice.  Our ultimate goal is to better serve your needs by identifying the simplest and most elegant solutions to the most complex problems.

Our History
Rainey Legal Group was originally founded in 1976 as Charles R. Rainey, Jr P.C.  Charles Rainey, then a recent graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law, opened a small, general practice law office in the Northern Virginia town of Sterling.

Over time, Charles refined his practice to specialize in real estate, estate planning, and business transactions; and, in 1979 , he moved his office to the fast-growing D.C. suburb of Vienna, Virginia, on the edge of Tyson’s Corner.  Over the last three decades, Charles has built his practice upon a principled focus on customer service and sound ethics.

In 2008, after Charles’ son, Chaz Rainey, left his position as the in-house legal counsel to a Nevada-based gaming company, Charles and Chaz Rainey decided to merge their practices into one multi-jurisdictional law firm, building upon the same principles that Charles had fostered in his preceding three decades of practice.

Chaz quickly took the reigns of the firm and expanded its practice into new industries and new areas of law.  Chaz has also embarked on an aggressive growth strategy, seeking to, not only grow the firm’s client base, but also expand in to new geographic markets.

Today the firm is a fast-growing multi-disciplinary, multi-jurisdictional practice, with four offices and plans to open more offices throughout the United States and throughout the world.  With more than 300 clients, located in both the United States and abroad, Rainey Legal Group continues to build upon its successes, hiring talented legal professionals as it expands into new markets, industries and areas of law.
