Leo Chu – Chairman of the Board
Leo Chu founded one of Los Angeles’s largest private clothing companies, California Ivy Inc, that had $150 million in sales a year and over 300 employees worldwide. The company was sold to Fortune 500 company Kellwood (NYSE: KWD). After the sale of his clothing company, Chu ventured into the gaming business in 1996 by becoming the owner of Hollywood Park Casino and Crystal Park Casino Hotel in Los Angeles. He also purchased 50% of Lucky Derby Casino near Sacramento, California. Mr. Chu holds the unique distinction as the first and only Asian to own casinos in California. In 2002 Leo Chu’s group was also one of the final six candidates for the inaugural Macau Gaming Licenses which eventually were issued to Steve Wynn, Stanley Ho and Sheldon Adelson. Chu has further extended his business expertise into other fields and is the co-owner of the NBA development basketball team the Anaheim Arsenal.
Leo Chu is also very involved in many other facets of the card room industry. Appointed by former California Governor Gray Davis, Chu served as a former board member on the California Gambling Advisory Board. Mr. Chu is also the board member of both the Golden State Gaming Association (GSGA) and Southern California Casino Association (SCCA). He is also a staunch advocate of responsible gaming and serves on the California Problem Gambling Council and the California Gambling Control Commission. Mr. Chu is also the President of the LACPAC, which is the political PAC of SCCA.

Leo Chu never forgets the value of a community. Not only has Chu donated to many charitable causes around the world, but has also participated in them as well. He serves as Chairman of Morning Light Foundation, which is an organization that focuses in China on building school and giving over 150 scholarships. Mr. Chu is the Founding member of the Peterson Museum’s Checkered Flag 200, and Board of Councilors of the USC Viterbi School of Engineering. Mr. Chu is the Honorary Chairman of many Chinese Benevolent Associations in Los Angeles including the Friends of Shanghai Foundation. He is also recently the Board member of the sponsoring groups for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Rose Parade Float and Now Board member of the Special Olympics in Los Angeles since 1996, now currently on the board of governors.

Leo Chu holds a Bachelor’s Degree equivalent in Textile Engineering from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, formerly the Hong Kong Technical College.

Pierre Wuu – Founder
Pierre Wuu was formerly a Internet/Marketing Consultant to the World Poker Tour (Nasdaq: WPTE) and Hollywood Park Casino. Pierre co-founded Click2Asia in 1999 (A leading Asian online dating company) and served as its President and CEO where he was instrumental in raising over 15 million USD and leading a team of over 150 employees throughout the United States, China and South Korea. Pierre was also former President of aMagazine (the largest Asian American magazine) with world wide distribution and audience. Pierre also worked at Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting) specializing in business process re-engineering and financial services.

Pierre has served as president and board member of numerous reputable organizations across North America. These included being the former National Chairperson of NAAAP (National Association of Asian American Professionals), Executive Vice President of APEX (Asian Professional Exchange) in Los Angeles, and the National President of the Study Tour Alumni Association with over 25,000 members across the world. Pierre has frequently been asked to speak at numerous Asian market conferences as well as gaming conferences including Casino Affiliate Conference (CAC) Macau and Asian i-Gaming (AIG) Macau. Pierre is active in his community and serves on various advisory boards for non profit organizations.

Pierre holds a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems at Indiana University with a minor in psychology. Pierre also holds special education certificates from Taiwan Normal University in Taipei and also Beijing Language Institute (BLI) in Beijing, China.

David Wang – Founder
David was formerly Vice President at the World Poker Tour (NASDAQ: WPTE) which is the leading high stakes televised poker tour with over 20 annual events throughout the world including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Atlantic City, Barcelona (Spain), Fallsview (Canada), and Paris (France). David was instrumental in the companies online gaming initiatives and was actively involved in regulatory, product and operations of its online properties. The companies programming is licensed to broadcast in over 150 countries/territories . He was also former CEO and co-founder of a leading online social network for poker players which was successfully sold to a publically traded company listed on the London Stock Exchange. David is recognized internationally as a leading internet gaming expert and has spoken on numerous gaming panels and conferences including the Global Interactive Gaming and Expo (GIGSE) in Canada, Casino Affiliate Convention (CAC) in Las Vegas and the International Gaming Conference and Expo (IGCE) in Costa Rica and the Asian Interactive Gaming Congress (AIG) in Macau. In addition, David is involved with various Asian non profit organizations.

David holds a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University) where he majored in Marketing and International Business.

Gareth Chang – Chairman of the Advisory Board
Gareth Chang is the CEO and Chairman of Towona Media, the largest transport digital media group in China. Mr Chang was formerly chairman and chief executive of STAR TV Group, a multi-channel satellite television network that reaches more than 300 million viewers across Asia. Prior to joining STAR TV in 1998, Mr. Chang was corporate senior vice president of Hughes Electronics and president of Hughes International, responsible for worldwide operations in Europe, Canada, Middle East, Latin America and Asia/Pacific. In addition, Mr. Chang was president of DirecTV International, executive chairman of DirecTV Japan and chairman of Hughes-JVC Technology. Prior to joining Hughes in 1993, Mr. Chang held the positions of corporate vice president of McDonnell Douglas and president of McDonnell Douglas Pacific and Asia. He also served as the founding executive chairman of the Joint McDonnell Douglas-Shanghai Aviation Executive Board for the production and sales of commercial jets; senior vice president of McDonnell Douglas Information Systems Company.

Mr. Chang holds a BA in Mathematics/Physics from California State University at Fullerton and a MBA from Pepperdine University, and a (Honorary) Doctor of Science from California State University at Fullerton. He is currently a Visiting Professor at Qinghua University in Beijing as well as an Honorary Professor at the Beijing Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Mr. Chang is on the advisory boards of the UCLA School of Public Policy and the John Hopkins-Nanjing University Center for Chinese Studies as well as the National Committee for U.S. – China relations. He is also a member of the Committee of 100, Pacific Council, Atlantic Council, and the Council on Foreign Relations.

James Yao – Advisor, Member of Advisory Board
James Yao, is founder and Managing Partner of AsiaTech Ventures, a leading technology venture firm focused on Greater China Region. He has extensive knowledge and experience of the communications and information technology market in both Silicon Valley and Asia. In recent years AsiaTech has expanded their scope to include Clean Technology and Advanced Materials. Prior to establishing AsiaTech, Mr Yao was Vice President of Marketing, Asia Pacific for Anixter, a leading US data communications firm. At Anixter, he managed the firm’s Asia Pacific Network Integration business and was instrumental in transforming the company from a supplier of local area networks to a leading provider of world class Internet/intranet solutions, multimedia applications and high-performance networks. Before joining Anixter, Mr Yao was Managing Director, Greater China for Banyan Systems, responsible for establishing the firm’s Greater China operations. This included building a regional sales force, developing channel partnerships and opening offices in Hong Kong, Taiwan and China.

Previous to Banyan, Mr Yao spent six years at leading software vendor Oracle occupying a number of senior level roles, the most senior of which were Deputy Managing Director and Technical Director for Oracle and Country Manager Oracle, Taiwan. Before his Asian assignment, Mr Yao was a founding member of Oracle’s Network Products Division, responsible for the marketing and development for Oracle’s Client/Server technology. Whilst developing his career in Asia, Mr. Yao was also a seed investor and director in a Silicon Valley network management software startup called Ecosystems, which was later acquired by CompuWare.

A native of Taipei, Taiwan, Mr. Yao is fluent in Chinese, Taiwanese and English. He holds Bachelor Degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Management Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Todd Steele – Advisor, Member of Advisory Board

Todd Steele is currently Managing Partner of Simon Equity Partners, the private investment arm of the Simon family, founders of Simon Property Group (NYSE: SPG), the largest publicly-traded real estate company in the United States. Based in San Francisco, Simon Equity specializes in non-control $2 to $10 million equity investments in dynamic consumer and retail lifestyle brands. From 2004 to 2006, Steele served as Chief Financial Officer for WPT Enterprises, Inc. creators of the World Poker Tour. Steele helped grow WPT Enterprises from a small production company to a publicly-traded diversified media concern. Prior to joining the WPT Enterprises, Steele served as a financial executive for Sony Pictures Digital, where he helped lead the launch of the Sony Media Software division. Prior to his tenure with Sony Pictures, Steele served as Chief Financial Officer for PlanetRx.com, Inc., a high-profile public company in the online retail space. Steele has also served in a variety of financial capacities for blue-chip companies such as American Express and the New York Times Company. Additionally, as a financial consultant, Steele has provided strategic guidance to a variety of startup companies in the entertainment, biotechnology, and manufacturing fields. Steele began his career as an audit professional with Ernst and Young, LLP and earned his B.A. degree in Business Economics from UCLA.

Chien (Garret) Lin – Director of Technology
Garret was former President of Ginscom Technology, a gaming technology company founded by himself as an entrepreneur in Chengdu, China. Garret developed an advanced Sgaming™ engine and client side gaming applications, including a series of popular multi-player client-server Chinese/Asian skill games such as Chinese Mahjong, Dou Di Zhu (Fight the Landlord), Sichuan Mahjong, Tuo La Ji/Shengji (Traktor Poker), Chinese Chess, Go/Weiqi, and Junqi.

Garret led server infrastructure development at Valicert (now part of Tumbleweed Communications, NASDAQ: TMWD). He was instrumental in completing security server related products for the United States Department of Defense, Visa, and Netscape. Garret worked on the email gateway development for the two way interactive cable television platform at PowerTV (now part of Cisco Systems, NASDAQ: CSCO).

Garret holds a BS in computer science/math from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Allen Yan – Director, Greater China, Business Development and Marketing

Allen Yan was formerly Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Greater China and also former Senior VP of GoTrade.com, at the time one of China’s largest online stock trading websites. Allen devised and structured numerous partnerships with leading China based media companies including Beijing Cable Channel 4, Peoples Daily Newspaper and China Security Daily. Additionally, Allen spear headed the companies product licensing division and helped the company win numerous key accounts. Allen was also former VP of Business Development for IMS-Net Inc., a leading IT development house based in San Ramon, CA. Sophia Lai – World Mahjong Tour Hostess

Sophia joined World Mahjong Tour in 2008 and was most recently appointed the hostess/presenter of the World Mahjong Tour: “Celebrity Edition” shows in Asia. Growing up in an environment where playing mahjong is considered second nature, Sophia started playing mahjong at a very young age and has not stopped playing the game since then. She has played her entire life with family and friends and has improved to a level equal to semi professional. Sophia was initially intent on pursuing a career in modeling after being approached by various modeling agencies, but chose instead to put her modeling career on hold and continue her education. Not only is she fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, her unique background also allowed her to learn at a young age the many different Chinese dialects including Guilin and Hokenese along with also being fluent in Indonesian.
